What Are Virtual Evaluations and Recalls?
PepCare makes it easy for patients and providers to stay connected—even between appointments. Two powerful tools that support this connection are Virtual Evaluations and Virtual Recalls. Whether you're continuing care or preparing for your next visit, these features help streamline communication and reduce in-office wait times.
Virtual Evaluations: Your Care, Started Early
Virtual Evaluations are pre-appointment assessments or follow-up tasks that your provider assigns to you via PepCare. These might include:
- Uploading progress photos
- Completing health questionnaires
- Answering targeted questions related to your treatment
With PepCare, you can track each evaluation assigned to you, view its current status, and even message your provider directly if you have questions.
What You Can Do with Virtual Evaluations:
- See which evaluations are pending or completed
- Open the details to review your doctor’s instructions
- Submit responses, images, or feedback as requested
Ask your provider clarifying questions through the secure message feature
💡 Tip: You’ll only be able to create your own virtual evaluation if your provider has enabled this feature on PepCare. If available, simply click the "Create Virtual Evaluation" button and follow the steps.
Virtual Recalls: Stay on Track with Your Care
Virtual Recalls are gentle, timely reminders set by your provider to help you stay engaged with your treatment plan—especially after longer gaps between appointments. Think of them as smart check-ins that ensure nothing falls through the cracks.
What You Can Do with Virtual Recalls on PepCare:
- View Active Recalls: Go to the Virtual Recall tab to see any open recalls assigned to you. Each entry includes the provider name, assigned date, due date, and status.
- Track Recall Status: Know whether a recall is pending or already addressed. If it’s open, you’ll see the status marked as “Active.”
- Send Messages to Your Provider: Use the dropdown menu to securely send a message regarding the recall—whether you need clarification or want to share an update.
